Frequently Asked Questions
  • When is the best time to book my hair in?

As soon as your date is confirmed. We can book out up to 2 years in advance in peak wedding season.

  • What areas do you travel too?

There is no limit on how far we travel for weddings. Evalyn and the team have been as far as Europe,  the gorgeous tropical islands off the Queensland coast and to all corners of Australia.

  • Is there any travel charges?

We offer free travel to all Sunshine Coast areas within a 50km radius of Caloundra.  This covers all Noosa, Noosaville, and Sunshine Coast Hinterland locations.  We also offer wedding hair styling outside of this region. Please contact us for your personalised quote.

  • What happens once I have paid my booking fee?

Once we receive your booking fee we will send out a booking confirmation and a quote with the deposit taken off the total amount owing.  Then when you come in for your trial, your stylist will go through the pricing with you and a final invoice will then be emailed out to you.

  • Do you offer makeup services?

No, we do not.  We are hair styling specialists and this is something that we are very experienced in and passionate about.  We feel it's essential to have two separate suppliers that are each experts in their own field.  With a lot of combined packages you will find that they are more specialised in one area and you won't get the best of both hair and makeup in that situation.  Timing on the day will also flow more smoothly with independent suppliers working at the same time.

  • When do I come in for my free hair trial?

The plan for your trial is that you make email contact to book a trial date about 4-8 weeks prior to your day.  As we are booked up with weddings on weekends, trials are only held on weekdays.

At the trial your stylist will spend time with you creating a style that you love, working through your ideas and any accessories that you have to use with your style. She will also take photos of the finished style and bring them along on the wedding day so that you have the opportunity to fine tune and make any changes you would like to your hair.

During your trial we can also discuss the final numbers in your wedding party, and any other queries you may have. If life is busy with work or you live away, it is not a problem to leave the trial until the week leading up to the wedding.

  • How do I choose the perfect hair style?
    • Find styles that suit your wedding theme, hair type and your own personality and style.
    • Select a hairstyle that works with all the other elements of your wedding (your dress, flowers etc).
    • Look through magazines and online for inspiration pictures and create a mood board or small collection of pictures.
    • Don’t look for one picture that is your perfect hair style but rather look for elements of a style that you like (e.g part line, amount of volume, waves etc).
    • Come to your trial with an open mind and let your stylist talk through your ideas and your perfect style will form out of that.
  • Can my bridesmaid or mother have a hair trial too?

Trials for bridesmaids and mothers are not included with the cost of bride's hair. Our stylists are happy to do a free verbal consultation with your bridesmaids and family members if they come along to your trial with you. Your stylist will take a look at everyone's hair, chat about possible styles, give a clearer idea of final costings, and will take notes so that no-one forgets on the day! If you would still like a trial for your mother or bridesmaids there will be a charge of $125.

  • Do you sell hair extensions?

We can colour match and source high quality hair extensions for you.   The cost varies depending on how many you will need.  We usually place the order after your trial, once your stylist has seen your hair and the look that you want to achieve, and then your stylist will bring the extensions with her on the day of your wedding.
